I'm Michael Bertram, a developer advocate, mentor & teacher based in Stockton-on-Tees, UK. I build products that feel fast, look clean, and respect the people using them. My work lives at the intersection of design systems, developer tooling, and frontend infrastructure. Beyond the codebase, I am deeply passionate about distilling complex concepts into accessible resources, fostering a culture of continuous learning through documentation and mentorship.

Bridge between the developer community and product teams. Create technical content, engage developers at events and online, and mentor colleagues on WordPress and front-end development.
Onboarded and mentored engineers, designed continuous-development programmes, and partnered with educational organisations to bridge industry and learning.
Led the Computing department across KS3 and KS4, teaching GCSE Computer Science and Creative iMedia, and delivering staff CPD and digital solutions across the school.
